I know we all love and cherish our ugly Christmas sweaters, but I am ok with cute ones too :D Tres Blah has a new group gift out, cute Olsen sweatshirt, that come in 5 styles. It also comes with Maitreya, Physique, Hourglass, Freya and Isis sizes. There is a group fee of 100L, a very reasonable fee imo ;)
I got myself the new Lelutka Simone, updated for bento. I was never really all that excited about bento for heads. I was looking more forward to bento hands. I have, however, found myself having a ton of fun with the bento heads :D I've felt totally out of practice with the head sliders... I didn't realize it had been so long since they got any use. I have made a few shapes, just playing around. I cannot really decide on the 'ONE' shape to rule them all :P But, I like it that way. I like to change things up, and now with bento heads... I can do that anytime I want, w/out having to buy another mesh head to add to the ever growing pile of them.
I think after some fiddling around with the Catwa bento head, I will prob get that one as well. I am going to continue making makeup, so really need to have that head anyway. I am also working on some make up sets for the Lelutka. I am having a bit harder of a time with that one, so it is taking me some time to get that one worked out ><

Yay! Finally we've got an FS update :) Bento is Amahhhzing and all that...BUT, this update has been the bees knees for wayyy more than bento. This version of FS is the very best so far for me. I have been struggling for a year to stay in SL. Each new version of FS was making it even more frustrating. This update is like breathing new air! I am happy for sure. Now maybe I can finally relax a bit....and do my thing, and not fight every step and cam move I try to take. Since last update before this, even taking pics became a battle....taking up a whole evening just for a shot. It made blogging and creating a serious pain in the ass lol.
Sooooo Cheers to the FS team! I feel like you've done the impossible, and I am super happy about that :D

Reign had a flash sale a few days ago, and I grabbed a couple of things, including these smexy boots :D While digging around in my inventory, I found this dress by Villena. I had forgotten that I bought it last round of Uber (I think it was Uber) o.O. A nice surprise :) It's always fun to find treasures in my inventory lol. Anyway, I love it with the Reign boots, it's like they were meant to be :D
Spellbound has a couple of new releases this month. I have really loved Spellbound hair for a long time. The textures are gorgeous and the styles are always so interesting and unique. Definitely check them out if you haven't already :)
This choker.....is....everything! I love it sooooo much, I've been wearing it non stop. It is by Yummy, one of my top fave jewelry designers. It is currently at N21 and it comes in several colors ;) I am a sucker for chokers and LBDs..... I can admit my weaknesses :P
I love PATD, one of my very faves! Sooooo, this is the new song, which is amazing....BUT WTF is going on with this video. I am used to weird ass PATD vids, but seriously...this one takes the cake :P Also .... Hey, its that kid from Stranger Things :D
....Summer has ended here and now the days are sunny, cool and crisp...just right for wearing pretty sweaters. One of the prettiest sweaters I've seen in SL is this new Tres Blah sweater that came in the September Luxe box. It looks great with everything. It works especially well with the Ison pants that were also in this months Luxe box, and these pants have some of the best texturing I've seen... love them. Annnnd cannot forget the Reign strappy heels from the box as well..... gorgeous, they are the shoes I never knew I wanted so much :)
Soooo today is also Friday!!! Another Fifty Linden Friday :D Oooh so many cute things this week! My fave is the Paper Arrow jeans and the GORGEOUS Reign platforms with color hud :)) It is still Friday last I looked, so get those FLF pretties while you still can :D
Tres Blah saves the day! So we all know that trying to layer mesh clothing items together is a son of a B. Normally in order to wear proper Tshirts in SL, we wear a cropped version, or tucked...orrr my least favorite, the clothing applier.
But.... today, the first day of the new Arcade round, Tres Blah has a gacha with a variety of long Tshirts for Maitreya, that can be LAYERED! And they can be layered without looking too bulky or weird. Also........they fit nicely over some of our other favorite designer's stuff :D
I tried these out with items from Blueberry, Addams, and Just Because. This T fits like a dream over their jeans, shorts and skirts....at least the ones I tried them on with. This makes me happy happy :D Sometimes I would like to have the choice to wear some longer Ts...and now I can :D

Soooo I did a little bit of shopping at...you guessed it...Uber! This has been one of my favorite rounds. There is so much that I bought and so much more that I still want >< Broke one of my new rules for this round as well....sigh. I came up with a new rule for shopping events. And that is, I am allowed to only choose two of my fave things from each new event to buy. Errrrrrm, I am thinking this rule, so far, is not working out so well for me :P
I have been working on a number of projects for SL off and on...when I have time and I am not working. For whatever reason, I usually find myself about half way through around 10 or so of these projects. I had a couple of days off and I made myself choose a few of these to completely finish. Well I finished 2 of them....but made progress on a few others, soooooo...yay, go me :P
One of the projects was a set of floral lashes. I had been wanting them for myself, and could not really find what I wanted, so I set out to make them. Now they are done! lol, and I finally got to enjoy them. I am also going to add them to my MP store....right after I finish this up :)
My look today was really inspired by the sequined skirt by Tres Blah at C88. With my floral lashes done, I wanted to use them with the skirt to create a sexy vintage look. I have an inventory filled with vintagey type stuff, which I love. This was a fun outfit for me, even though I fought super evil lag tonight >< Enjoy :)
Oooo Kay.....So I have been super lazy about blogging the stuffs >< I have been preoccupied with a lot of RL work/life. I really didnt realize that it had been so long since I actually posted anything o.O I suppose better late than never lol.
We just got the Luxe box ...yay :) Also Kustom9 just opened....soooo I dolled myself up with a couple of items from those events :) My favorite thing from Luxe Box this month is the Reign ribbon heels. They are seriously gorgeous and came in a zillion colors. My favorite thing at K9 this round is the slit dress by Villena, it fits and looks amazing. Ooooh and I also stopped by Cosmopolitan and got this really cute necklace/choker set by BF Clothing and Accessories.
Once I pulled the whole outfit together, I was transported back to the 90s lol. It just has that vibe about it. I had a similar dress, w/out the slits and I was addicted to chokers. And don't forget the dark matte lipsticks we all wore :P
I love Zenith, they always come up with beautiful creations. This new dress is another one of their lovely designs and it can be found at the new round of Fameshed. I had a hard time deciding what to wear with it, as it is a very versatile design. I decided to dress it up a little bit.... a little bit classy and a little bit cutesy :)
I take a lot of pics and most of them never see the light of day. I take them for various reasons, some were intended to be a blog post, but for what ever reason, the post didn't happen. Some were just me messing around with windlights and photo shop. Many of them never really had any particular purpose. I just take them because it is something to do, and I enjoy piddling around with them.
I decided to do something a little different with my post today. I wanted to use some pics that I took a couple of weeks ago, that I originally had no intention of using for anything. I didn't really know what I was going to do exactly. They had a dreamy Sci-Fi feel to them, so I went with that. I felt they needed something more, so I took some extra shots a couple of days ago.... trying to come up with something cohesive. Something that felt like a story. So, that is what I did, and that is what I am posting :)
I enjoyed this process a lot. I think it's a good thing for me to sometimes break away from what I normally post. And really, why not?
Uber is here again.....seriously where does the time go? I feel like I was just trying to get into the last one. This month has just flown by...I can barely keep up.
Anyway..... Uber has some really lovely things this round. The theme is the Sahara.....a lot of warm colors and soft fabrics. I fell in love with the dress from Tetra. It's simple, comfortable and perfect for a romantic summer night :)
SL is 13 years old! Finally....a teenager :P Incidentally , my AV just turned 6 years old on the 22nd.....sooooo go us!

Today I felt like channeling my inner Debbie Harry. I love her voice and her unique style. I am especially fond of her Blondie days. I Listened to them at work last night and I love those songs as much now as I did all those years ago :)
So, I was inspired to create a Debbiesque look for myself. That meant digging around in my inventory, trying on lots of my stuff..... yay, something I love to do, but now I had a mission:) I was not trying to turn my AV into a Debbie Harry. I just wanted to capture a bit of her amazing style for myself :)

I have no idea how many bikinis is enough, but I think I have probably reached my limit >< I just keep buying them ... sigh. This will be my last one!!!! maybe o.O I got this particular bikini at On9, it's by Mimikri and it is adorable. It kind of has a bit of 60s vibe to it. Hmmmm gives me more ideas for dress up :)
I took a break from trying to finish up some Genesis Head make ups that I've been working on, feeling very frustrated with the whole thing .....so did a little shopping, and a little photo shoot. Kept the look very simple, played with a windlight called pink fairy ...something lol. I am terrible at remembering what they are called. Anyway, it is a lovely setting, and it was fun to play around with.
Bikinis everywhere! Seriously, sooo many gorgeous bikinis out right now. I love how they are fitted mesh to fit my mesh body...... they look amazing. I have been collecting them as I find them. One of my favorites is this Mon Cheri bikini for sale at the Tropical Summer Fair. I almost bought the fatpack, but opted for the black. I may go back for another color though lol. I am not really a fatpack sort of person, as I really only ever wear one or two colors of an item.
I originally wanted to do a photo shoot on beach somewhere, maybe a nice sunset shot. But, I was lagging just out an about searching for a place. So I gave up and just took shot in my little studio :( Not really very beachy, but what can ya do *shrugs*
I also picked up a couple of lovely freebies while I was shopping :) Earrings from Maxi Gossamer and shoes from N-Core. They just happened to work well with my new bikini, love that :)
Wow... I have posted a lot lately. I've had some things on my mind. I find that fiddling with blog stuff has been helping me focus on other things, rather than the constant thoughts and worries that have been plaguing me. Sometimes you just need something for your mind to do.
Blogging SL fashion stuffs, is not exactly rocket science - it is not hard to do by any means. But it does take some focus and concentration. It is not just posting the actual post....there are pics to be taken, lists to be made, links to be linked...all that jazz. I think the photography part of it takes the longest for me. It is not just that my computer sucks at everything SL related, but I take a lot of snaps.... then I have to choose the ones that turned out somewhat worthy lol. Then crop, poke, prod until something I like emerges. So yea, takes some time and it keeps my mind off other things for a while.
Anywayyyyy......Today I was inspired by the gorgeous body art by Izzie's, Metallic Floral Tattoo. Inspired enough to just wear them and not much else :) This body art is so lovely. The hud comes with a selection of different colors as well. I am wearing a nude/peach color in my pics, but I tried them all and they all look amazing. These are going in My Favorite Things folder for sure :)
I am a huge Sci Fi geek. Books, movies, TV...all of it! Ex Machina is one of my favorite Sci Fi movies, in my top 20 for sure. I was watching it again the other night, so it has been on my mind for a couple of days. After shopping at Uber , I decided to create something that had the feel of that movie.
My intention was not to copy exactly how anyone looked in the movie, I just wanted an inspired look. The basic concept of the movie is; What is it to be human...and how can you prove that humanity. I am putting a link to the IMDb page for the movie, above....just in case anyone is interested in finding out more about it.
Here is what I came up with, decided to keep it pretty simple :)
Second Life for me is like a Barbie dream house. I log in to shop, chat and play dress up...and when I chat, it is usually all about the dress up lol. So, yea I spend a lot of time trying on demos, shopping, organizing my inventory and putting together looks. I don't really have any particular set way that I go about things when playing dress up, I generally just sort of go with the flow. Sometimes I am inspired by a song, or a pop culture look, even inspired by my fellow bloggers and fllickrites.
Sometimes I am inspired by certain items I acquire in SL. This was the case last night...3 things in particular caught my attention for most of the evening. I am totally in love with these shoes from Empire, this hair from Rezology and the lipstick applier from the Genesis Ingrid gacha. I originally wanted to do something kind of Sci Fi noir, a Bladerunner inspired look I suppose. But because I was enjoying trying on all sorts of things with these items, I pretty much lost track of time..and my original themed idea got lost a long the way. That happens a lot with me, lol. So I decided to go ahead and snap shots of a few of my fave looks combined with all 3 items I was obsessing over:)
Ok now you have a small glimpse of how my mind works when playing SL dress up. I am always wondering how others go about it, how they come up with their looks and styles. It is so interesting to me.

I love Big Bang and G Dragon both for their style and music. G Dragon's amazing style always inspires me....so I chose the Crooked video because of course the song is fantastic, but also really shows off his sense of style.
Sooooo, the famous Luxebox was given out a few days ago.... I guess it is infamous in some circles lol. I am not going to say a whole lot about it, except that I really enjoyed the whole thing. I loved the anticipation of waiting until the 15th.... like waiting for Christmas morning when I was a kid. I loved opening up the mysterious box we had all waited for. And lastly, I was very happy with the items we received. Of course there were a couple of things, that were not quite my style....but that was really OK with me, I am sure those items appealed to many others. I completely feel like I got my money's worth and way more. And above and beyond that, I had a ton of fun with it :D
So that is that! On with the show. This gorgeous Tshirt by Foxes, is one of the lovely items that came in the Luxebox, I think it is my very favorite. It comes with a texture change HUD that includes plain versions of the Tshirt as well.
A new hair release by Magika called Summer is out and it is BEAUTIFUL! ....as are all Magika's hairs. I loooove Magika's hair textures with all of my being....best blonde texture on the grid in my opinion. This is a must have :D
I love that in SL we can be as flawed and flawless as want or need to be :)
I had fun with my dress up this evening, so many gorgeous new shiny things out right now, ok there is always gorgeous new shiny things out.....buuuuut w/e, I love all those shiny things!
This outfit started out with these fabulous shoes by Pure Poison, they come with a color hud, so you can mix and match the colors on different parts of the shoe. yay :) I loved the black and white look on these shoes, so I decided to only wear black and white for my entire outfit and I am really happy with the end result. Btw I had to do this just from what I'd already bought and could find in my inventory. Errrm was not hard to do, considering...I do buy a lot of those two colors :P Anyhoooo....here is that look :)
Neve has these new pants with flair legs that I totally love :) Each pack comes with a HUD of four colors, belt options, and pant length (very cool!) While I was there I picked up this sexy LBD.. I have a hard time resisting the LBDs >< So thank you Neve for your classy creations :)
...Sooo here's the thing, I have more stuff than I ever wear buried in my inventory. I am probably not alone in this situation, considering how many events come out...and that those events have been bursting at the seams with shoppers. I love to shop in SL, I love events, I love new releases and I love the subsequent dress-up time. But (there is always a but)... it costs a lot of time and money. I have always kept myself to a tight budget in SL...just as I do in RL. Lately I have found myself going over that budget, so easy to do in SL. Well I've had to put my foot down...on my own foot lol. I am going back to my normal budget. I think this will also give me back some time, as shopping all the events seriously eats away at most of the time I find to log into SL.
With all that said, what I have found is that I have large chunks of inventory from all my shopping that I have not worn, I have probably tried it on...but that is about the extent of it. So instead of shopping this week, I've just hung out at home and played a lot of dress up. It gave me a great chance to get a little bit more organized, as I like my inventory pretty neat and tidy. It also gave me a great chance to really start enjoying all that stuff I've bought and have barely looked at. And wow...the amount of hair and shoes I have is truly obscene. I am so picky about hair, how in the world have I ended up with so much of it, I am having a hard time even remembering where most of it came from lol..
Ok so that is a bit of a winded explanation of my shopping habits, but it is what it is. Here is a couple of shots I took, while finally digging into all that fabulous stuff I've bought over the months. This is just one of the looks that came out of that. It has a pretty definite 70s vibe about it...I can dig that :)
