Uber is here again.....seriously where does the time go? I feel like I was just trying to get into the last one. This month has just flown by...I can barely keep up.
Anyway..... Uber has some really lovely things this round. The theme is the Sahara.....a lot of warm colors and soft fabrics. I fell in love with the dress from Tetra. It's simple, comfortable and perfect for a romantic summer night :)
SL is 13 years old! Finally....a teenager :P Incidentally , my AV just turned 6 years old on the 22nd.....sooooo go us!
Tons of SLB13 gifts all over the grid. Just a few of the places I know about are: Kustom9, Collabor88, Tres Chic, and Hairology (look for the cakes). Today is also Friday, which means Fifty Linden Friday is upon us again. I have a few gifts from SLB13 and FLF in my post today, so gooooo get em while you can!
Today I felt like channeling my inner Debbie Harry. I love her voice and her unique style. I am especially fond of her Blondie days. I Listened to them at work last night and I love those songs as much now as I did all those years ago :)
So, I was inspired to create a Debbiesque look for myself. That meant digging around in my inventory, trying on lots of my stuff..... yay, something I love to do, but now I had a mission:) I was not trying to turn my AV into a Debbie Harry. I just wanted to capture a bit of her amazing style for myself :)

I have no idea how many bikinis is enough, but I think I have probably reached my limit >< I just keep buying them ... sigh. This will be my last one!!!! maybe o.O I got this particular bikini at On9, it's by Mimikri and it is adorable. It kind of has a bit of 60s vibe to it. Hmmmm gives me more ideas for dress up :)
I took a break from trying to finish up some Genesis Head make ups that I've been working on, feeling very frustrated with the whole thing .....so did a little shopping, and a little photo shoot. Kept the look very simple, played with a windlight called pink fairy ...something lol. I am terrible at remembering what they are called. Anyway, it is a lovely setting, and it was fun to play around with.
Bikinis everywhere! Seriously, sooo many gorgeous bikinis out right now. I love how they are fitted mesh to fit my mesh body...... they look amazing. I have been collecting them as I find them. One of my favorites is this Mon Cheri bikini for sale at the Tropical Summer Fair. I almost bought the fatpack, but opted for the black. I may go back for another color though lol. I am not really a fatpack sort of person, as I really only ever wear one or two colors of an item.
I originally wanted to do a photo shoot on beach somewhere, maybe a nice sunset shot. But, I was lagging just out an about searching for a place. So I gave up and just took shot in my little studio :( Not really very beachy, but what can ya do *shrugs*
I also picked up a couple of lovely freebies while I was shopping :) Earrings from Maxi Gossamer and shoes from N-Core. They just happened to work well with my new bikini, love that :)
Wow... I have posted a lot lately. I've had some things on my mind. I find that fiddling with blog stuff has been helping me focus on other things, rather than the constant thoughts and worries that have been plaguing me. Sometimes you just need something for your mind to do.
Blogging SL fashion stuffs, is not exactly rocket science - it is not hard to do by any means. But it does take some focus and concentration. It is not just posting the actual post....there are pics to be taken, lists to be made, links to be linked...all that jazz. I think the photography part of it takes the longest for me. It is not just that my computer sucks at everything SL related, but I take a lot of snaps.... then I have to choose the ones that turned out somewhat worthy lol. Then crop, poke, prod until something I like emerges. So yea, takes some time and it keeps my mind off other things for a while.
Anywayyyyy......Today I was inspired by the gorgeous body art by Izzie's, Metallic Floral Tattoo. Inspired enough to just wear them and not much else :) This body art is so lovely. The hud comes with a selection of different colors as well. I am wearing a nude/peach color in my pics, but I tried them all and they all look amazing. These are going in My Favorite Things folder for sure :)
